HoYoverse will release the new update for its open-world RPG 'Genshin Impact,' titled 'Purana of the Void Kalpa,' on the 20th.

This update centers on a new Archon Quest dealing with a crisis in the Sumeru region, alongside the addition of new characters 'Nicole,' 'Loen,' and 'Prune.' Players must face mysterious enemies to rescue a slumbering 'Nahida,' with the story unfolding through the involvement of various factions, including the Hexenzirkel and the Knights of Favonius.

The new 5-star Pyro catalyst character, 'Nicole Rhine,' is the first playable member of the Hexenzirkel. As a guide who communicates through telepathy, she serves as a party support.

Her Elemental Skill boosts allies' attack power and generates shields to ensure survivability, while her Elemental Burst summons a 'Secret Phantasm' that performs coordinated attacks based on the active character's element. If the active character has unlocked 'Arcane/Secret Rites,' these effects become even more powerful.

Additionally, her Charged Attack summons a Seelie that guides players to nearby treasures, enhancing exploration convenience. With the start of the event wish, the interior of the 'Witch's Hut' within the 'Base: Witch's Garden' will be revealed, allowing players to discover new spaces and rewards each week.

'Loen,' another 5-star Cryo character, is the Deputy Captain of the 5th Company of the Knights of Favonius, known for an aggressive combat style using polearms. Upon using her Elemental Skill, she enters a 'Tactical' state, accumulating and consuming a unique resource called 'Fervor' to unleash enhanced attacks. She further amplifies damage through 'Fighting Spirit,' which builds up when allies deal damage to enemies.

Her potential is maximized when teamed with 'Arcane' characters, and her Story Quest will reveal the previously veiled history of the Knights of Favonius. The newly added 4-star Anemo catalyst character, 'Prune,' is a self-proclaimed 'Witch Hunter' certified by Alice. She uses bubbles and hammers as weapons to deal diverse elemental damage and trigger Swirl reactions.

The first phase of the event wish will feature the debut of 'Nicole' and 'Prune' alongside a rerun of 'Durin,' while the second phase will feature 'Loen' and a rerun of 'Mavuika.'

A variety of limited-time events and system optimizations are also underway. In the 'Little Witches' Gathering' event, featuring characters such as Klee, Qiqi, Yaoyao, Sayu, and Furune, players can obtain the limited-edition weapon skin 'Super Ultra Magic Key'.

Furthermore, a 'Guidebook' feature will be added to help players look back on their past journeys, and the auto-save notification system will be optimized to provide a more seamless gameplay experience.

Other additions include a special sports event in the Starry Sea, a photo mode to capture various poses of Star Dolls, and new editing tools and materials for creators. More details can be found on the official community cafe.
