Major farming content in Solo Leveling: Arise has been overhauled. Gates, Instance Dungeons, and Encore Missions now share a single entry ticket. Additionally, a new mode called 'Trial of the Abyss' has been added to provide Cores—previously farmed in the Workshop of Brilliant Light—and it also uses the same key.
The consolidated ticket is called a 'Dungeon Entry Key,' and you receive 100 per day. The maximum capacity is 200, meaning it will fill up in two days, so you need to use them consistently. If you have an active Hunter Association Subscription, your maximum capacity increases to 400, allowing you to go up to four days without hitting the cap.
The Sweep system has also been expanded. Previously, it was mostly limited to Gates, but you can now use Sweep for Gates, Encore Missions, Instance Dungeons, and the Trial of the Abyss. The Sweep ticket cost is identical to the key cost. For example, since clearing a Gate once requires one key, it also consumes one Sweep ticket. You receive 100 free Sweep tickets daily, and if you use the Daily Growth Support, you get an additional 500, allowing you to sweep 600 keys' worth of content

The content itself has also changed. Gates have been completely revamped; elements like difficulty adjustment, re-searching, and Red/Special Gates have been removed. Now, when you enter the Gate menu, you will see blue, purple, and green gates, and you can simply choose the rewards you want from each. The difficulty is automatically set based on Sung Jinwoo's level.
This is much more intuitive and convenient, as it allows you to target specific items for farming. For example, if you need Shadow Energy to level up your Shadow Army, you can set the reward in a purple gate to Shadow Energy and run that gate.
By doing this, you no longer receive random rewards; instead, you get a higher volume of the specific item you selected along with gold. This allows for more focused, efficient farming tailored to your needs. The available rewards remain the same as before, including gold, elixirs, EXP, skill scrolls, shadow materials, weapon growth materials, and artifact enhancement materials.

The new content, Trial of the Abyss, is dedicated to farming Cores. The Workshop of Brilliant Light no longer drops Cores; it has been repurposed to provide Amplification Materials, Mana Crystals, and Weapon Fragments. Cores can now only be obtained in the Trial of the Abyss.
Farming in the Trial of the Abyss is similar to Instance Dungeons. Before entering, you select the type of Core you want, and upon completing the battle, you receive Cores from that set as a reward.
The monsters in the Trial of the Abyss are 'Shadows of Hunters' similar to the mid-bosses found in simulations. It is a 1:1 boss fight format with a maximum difficulty of 10. Upon your first clear, the maximum difficulty is limited to stages 3, 6, and 10, but once cleared, you can challenge stage 10 directly. If you unlock stage 10 in Sung Jinwoo mode, it will also be unlocked in Hunter mode.
The required combat power for stage 10 is 3 million, which is easier than the 3.54 million required for stage 15 of the Instance Dungeons. Considering that the Workshop of Brilliant Light's highest difficulty, 'Cerberus Hard,' now requires 5.55 million combat power after the update, the difficulty of farming Cores has been drastically reduced.
