It’s already been eight years since FC Online (FCO) launched! There’s a common perception that older online games have a high barrier to entry, but FCO is not as difficult as you might think. Follow these steps, and you’ll be a Challenger in no time!
Before we dive into the heart of FCO—building your own ultimate squad—let’s first look at how to effectively earn BP

BP: The essential capital needed to build your dream squad!

If you’re playing FCO, you’re likely a football fan. You probably have a dream team in mind—a squad with prime Cha Bum-kun at ST, and Son Heung-min and Park Ji-sung on the wings.
The biggest appeal of FCO is the ability to bring your dream squad to life. It’s also compelling that a team built this way isn't just a 'fantasy'—it can be practical enough to hold its own in ranked matches.
Of course, building a dream squad isn't easy; it requires capital. You can purchase the players you want from the transfer market using 'BP,' the in-game currency of FCO. Since some players cost hundreds of millions, or even trillions or quadrillions of BP, the process of efficiently accumulating enough BP is crucial to building a strong squad.

How to earn BP: Check the event page! And use Manager Mode

There are two main ways to earn BP in FCO. The first is through in-game rewards. You can earn BP by playing matches, completing leagues, or achieving specific milestones in the Mission Hub. However, these rewards alone are usually not enough to sign the players you want.
That’s why you must check the second method: the event page. FCO runs various events simultaneously, and the rewards from these are significantly larger than standard gameplay rewards. The scale of BP you can earn is on a completely different level. Consistently participating in events is the most reliable way to accumulate a large amount of BP quickly.
FCO is currently celebrating its 8th anniversary. Since this is a period where you can earn much higher rewards than usual, it’s best to participate in every event possible.
Event participation often comes with requirements, most of which involve playing a certain number of matches. You can fulfill these requirements using the official 'Manager Mode.' If you don't have time to play manually, running Manager Mode matches in a row when you're away is a great strategy.
Even if you are considering spending money, you should keep a close eye on the website. The [Web Shop] hosts various events, and the 'Pass' items often offer high value. Free items are also frequently added, so be sure to check them out.

The heart of FCO, the Transfer Market: Save as much as you can on fees

The next content to master is the 'Transfer Market.' While you can earn BP directly from events, you will often receive various player packs. You can sell the players you get from these packs on the transfer market to convert them into BP.
There are many ways to earn BP using the transfer market. If you're lucky, you can sell upgraded players at a high price. If you have a good understanding of the game or real-world football trends, you can buy players when their value is low and sell them when it rises. Of course, neither is easy.
That’s why you need to pay close attention to 'Transfer Market Fees.' There’s no fee when buying, but selling incurs a significant charge. By default, 40% of the sale price is deducted as a fee, which means you lose nearly half of your earnings.
You can reduce these fees in several ways. The most common is the subscription service, 'TOP CLASS.' Additionally, you can earn fee discount coupons through events or receive extra discounts by playing at an internet cafe (PC Bang). Since the difference in the BP you actually receive can be substantial, it is crucial to maximize your fee discounts.

Other BP-earning factors to check

We’ve covered various ways to earn BP, but this is just the tip of the iceberg. There are many more methods if you dig deeper.
First, you can earn rewards by completing various missions and achievements in the in-game [Mission Hub]. You can also check the status of your web events here, so I recommend checking it frequently.
As an extension of what was mentioned earlier, always check for seasonal events. Occasional upgrade events or 'burning' events are great opportunities to secure a lot of BP.
Don't forget to check the mobile applications linked to FC Online. Events linked to 'FC Lounge' and 'FC Online M' happen often. In fact, the FC Lounge app allows you to earn attendance rewards that can be used in FCO.
It’s also important not to miss out on irregularly distributed coupons. FCO provides coupons through various channels. While each one might seem small, they add up to a significant difference. You can check currently available coupons on the FCO Inven bulletin board.
