On Saturday, May 2, the third collaboration cosmetic set between Diablo 4 and World of Warcraft (WoW) was released. This collaboration has garnered significant attention, as it is packed with homages to early WoW expansions, from the original game through Wrath of the Lich King.
These Warcraft collaboration cosmetics are based on the iconic Tier armor sets that players wore back in the original game. Along with these, legendary weapons that players once wielded in-game—such as Ashbringer, Sulfuras, Shadowmourne, and Thori'dal—have also been recreated. Let’s take a look at how these Warcraft collaboration items appear in-game.

Taste the flames! Molten Core Tier sets in Diablo 4
The newly released Warcraft Collection pack consists of class-specific armor cosmetics designed based on WoW's Tier 2 sets.
Tier sets were class-specific gear sets dropped as rewards from top-tier raids each season. They were developed not just for their stats, but for their distinct and attractive designs tailored to each class. With every new raid release, the design of the new Tier set always draws significant interest.
The Tier 2 sets were the gear dropped in the early raid, Molten Core. They enjoyed long-lasting popularity due to their iconic designs that perfectly captured the class fantasy. They are so symbolic that they were even remastered with modern modeling to celebrate WoW's 20th anniversary in 2024.
The class associations between Diablo 4 and WoW in this collaboration are also quite interesting. The Barbarian received the Warrior's Tier set, while the Sorcerer was paired with the Mage, which shares a similar concept. The Necromancer received the Death Knight's armor (added for the 20th anniversary), and the Spiritborn was given the Shaman's gear, as both classes manipulate nature's spirits. The Druid, Rogue, and Paladin were reborn as their WoW counterparts, and the Spiritborn (Warlock) donned the set of the Warlock, sharing the same English name.

A mount you couldn't get in Azeroth, now rideable in Sanctuary
Along with class-specific cosmetics, individual WoW-themed items have also been released. You can find mounts based on iconic bosses from early expansions like Anzu and Sindragosa, as well as pets like the mini-Ragnaros and 'Murk-li-el,' a Murloc dressed as Tyrael.
Additionally, a set of gear related to Illidan Stormrage, the final boss of The Burning Crusade, has been introduced. It includes back ornaments recreating Illidan's wings, the Bulwark of Azzinoth (famous as a 'front-facing shield'), Warglaive of Azzinoth, Zhar'doom, Greatstaff of the Devourer, and finally, the Skull of Gul'dan that Illidan carried.

You can also find the Ashbringer in the Reliquary
A Warcraft-themed Reliquary has also been introduced. You can purchase the items within the Reliquary using currency earned naturally through gameplay. Some items can be purchased solely with in-game currency without any additional cost, allowing you to acquire Warcraft collaboration items without spending real money.
Paid items consist of iconic WoW weapons like Ashbringer, Sulfuras, Thunderfury, and Atiesh, as well as flashy Town Portal effects. Also, note that if you purchase all items in the Reliquary, you can obtain the Soulflayer Hakkar pet, based on the boss famous for the Corrupted Blood incident.
