Farlight Games, the global publisher of the open-field idle RPG 'AFK Journey'—developed by LILITH Games—has announced the launch of a major collaboration event with the popular anime series 'Frieren: Beyond Journey's End,' titled 'AFK Journey X Frieren: Beyond Journey's End.'

This large-scale collaboration runs from May 1 to May 28. It features an original story in which Frieren and Himmel, while traveling toward the Demon King's castle, accidentally step into a space-time rift and arrive in Cedar Village in the White Mountains of Esperia, where they work with the local party to resolve a crisis looming over the village.

The legendary mage Frieren and the legendary hero Himmel officially join the game as collaboration heroes. During the event, players can run a small market alongside Frieren and Himmel to research and restore Esperian magic. By completing sequential requests, players unlock new 'magic clues' and cultivatable magic seeds; they can then use acquired magic recipes to restore and sell grimoires. Event coins earned through these activities can be exchanged for various rewards in the exchange shop.

A 7-day login event featuring generous rewards is also underway. By simply logging into the game during the event period, players can obtain the collaboration heroes Frieren and Himmel for free, along with various limited-edition items such as exclusive frames and hero head accessories. Additionally, a new 'Frieren' hero skin is scheduled for release.

Engagement events for fans are also being held outside the game. Players who post their server and UID in the official community along with their 'most precious memory' or a favorite scene from the anime by May 19 will be entered into a drawing, with 10 winners receiving exclusive limited-edition collaboration merchandise.
