Global indie game publisher Devolver Digital has confirmed that 'DARECLAW,' the latest title from Doinksoft—the quirky developer behind Gato Roboto, Gunbrella, and Demon Throttle—will launch on May 28. This dungeon crawler blends the chaotic energy of retro shooters with the progression mechanics of a roguelite, supporting both solo play and local/online co-op.
Players can embark on their adventure by choosing from nine unique playable characters, ranging from a classic axe-throwing warrior, a spell-casting wizard, and a knife-wielding rogue to a cute dog, an alien, and even a saxophone-playing rat.
As players navigate procedurally generated, handcrafted dungeons filled with countless enemies and traps, they can take a breather at Bruce & Goose’s shop to spend coins on new perks, powerful attacks, and summonable allies. By finding the right combinations, players can unleash arcade-legend levels of destruction that fill the entire screen.
Every run in DARECLAW is packed with new surprises, branching paths, and formidable bosses. With authentic old-school visuals, sound effects, and music, the game aims to capture the nostalgic feel of classic arcade gaming while delivering a refined experience with modern controls and design.
Packed with charm, challenges, and hidden secrets that can be enjoyed solo or with friends, 'Dark Scrolls' is set to launch on PC and Nintendo Switch on May 28 (local time). Further information is available on the official website and the official Devolver Digital Korea X account.
