On Day 3 of the Heroes of the Storm Fall Championship, Korea's MVP Black and Ballistix emerged as the victors of the Phase 2 Group Play, both teams securing their spots in the semifinals through the winners bracket without dropping a single map.
MVP Black steamrolled over Group A in expected fashion, shining on their trademark heroes in full glory: highlights included KyoCha's Tracer/Abathur and Rich's Alarak/Chen. The only pick atypical of MVP Black was Gul'dan, but considering the mage's recent buffs, Sake picking it up was entirely to be expected. Despite running into some surprises, including an interesting Nova pick from Please Buff Arthas, the giants refused to be stopped or even slowed.
Ballistix fared similarly in Group B, with sCsC's Valla and Jeongha's Thrall justifying their fame on the world stage. NaCHoJin's flaunting of his hero pool was also interesting, as he played Li-Ming, Sylvanas, Greymane, and Abathur in each of his four games today. Both Ballistix and MVP Black are holding onto all of their pocket picks; much anticipation is building around their reveal.
The Elimination and Decider matches of Phase 2 will be played on November 4th 16:00, PDT.
