Netmarble announced it would host the ‘FIRST DIVE SHOW’ for upcoming monster-taming action role-playing game MONGIL: STAR DIVE on April 8th at 6 PM KST through the game’s official YouTube channels.

According to a release, the online showcase was designed to introduce key parts of the title ahead of its global launch on April 15th. The presentation was set to cover Bellana, the game’s world, alongside its combat system and ‘Monsterling Collection’ feature.

Netmarble, a South Korea-headquartered game developer and publisher, also released a teaser video ahead of the event. According to the release, the video highlighted the game’s appearances at several international gaming events, including Gamescom in Germany, Tokyo Game Show in Japan, Brazil Game Show, G-STAR in South Korea and the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in the United States.

The company also said it was recruiting creators for its ‘Netmarble Partner Creator Plus’ programme until April 12th. According to the release, the initiative would allow creators to produce content around the game, while players could support them through a portion of in-game purchases.

MONGIL: STAR DIVE is the sequel to 2013 mobile title Monster Taming. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game features cinematic story-driven gameplay, real-time combat and a three-character tag system. Its ‘Monsterling Collection’ mechanic also includes monster capture, collection and synthesis systems.

Global pre-registration is currently underway ahead of launch. According to the release, users who register through the official website will receive the ‘Francis’ character, while additional rewards are being offered through the App Store and Google Play, including summoning tickets called ‘Compass of Promise.’

The showcase forms part of Netmarble’s wider push for the title ahead of release, with the publisher using event appearances, creator activations and pre-registration rewards to build interest in the new game.
