Mob Entertainment has released Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 – Broken Things, the newest entry in its globally popular indie horror franchise. The chapter is now available on PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, bringing players back into the haunted depths of Playtime Co. as the long-running mystery surrounding The Prototype nears its conclusion.
The launch arrived alongside a new trailer offering a first look at the chapter’s environments, threats, and story beats. The series, which debuted in 2021, has grown into a major horror property with more than 50 million players worldwide. Community theories, livestream reactions, and a widening lineup of licensed merchandise have fueled its expansion beyond games, including an upcoming feature film and multiple cross-IP collaborations.
Studio co-founders Zach and Seth Belanger said Chapter 5 aims to heighten both narrative stakes and emotional atmosphere while honoring the community that helped propel the franchise to global popularity.
Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 - Broken Things is Now Available on PC for Steam and Epic Games
In Broken Things, players delve deeper into the secrets of Playtime Co. while facing the puppetmaster believed to be responsible for the facility’s grisly history. The chapter features new puzzles, expanded GrabPack abilities, and encounters with characters lurking in previously unseen areas of the factory. Some may guide players toward uncovering the truth behind The Prototype — though their intentions remain unclear.
As the story pushes toward the “rotten heart” of Playtime Co., players must navigate environmental hazards, escape relentless threats, and piece together long-buried revelations. Huggy Wuggy returns as a central danger as players find themselves isolated from their allies in one of the most ominous settings introduced in the series so far.

Poppy Playtime: Chapter 5 – Broken Things is available now on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. A console release is planned for later in 2026.
