T1 vs KT Rolster Headlines Week 2 of the 2026 LCK Cup in World Championship Final Rematch

A marquee rematch headlines Week 2 of the 2026 LCK Cup as South Korea’s top League of Legends teams continue early group play ahead of the tournament’s first Super Week.

T1 and KT Rolster are set to meet Friday in their first matchup since the 2025 World Championship Final, a series that ended with T1 completing a dramatic comeback to secure a historic third consecutive world title. The rematch comes with both teams positioned as early contenders, though their momentum entering Week 2 differs.

T1 finished the opening week undefeated with series wins over Hanwha Life Esports and DRX. KT Rolster opened 1–1, defeating DN Supers before dropping a match to Gen.G. Early statistical indicators suggest T1’s new bottom-lane pairing has been more efficient through the first slate of games, but league officials and analysts note that head-to-head results often defy trends, particularly in one of the LCK’s longest-running rivalries.

Matches for Week 2 will be held from Wednesday through Sunday at LoL Park in Jongno, Seoul. The event is organized by Riot Games as part of the 2026 LCK Cup, which is being played under a revised format emphasizing group parity and late-stage best-of-five series.

Preview of Week 2 of the 2026 LCK Cup

Beyond the T1–KT Rolster matchup, Week 2 features several games expected to shape the group standings ahead of Super Week. After Week 1 ended with both groups tied, upcoming head-to-heads between top-seeded teams could determine early control.

Gen.G, currently leading the Baron Group, faces Elder Group frontrunner Dplus KIA on Saturday. Dplus KIA enter the match looking to break a prolonged losing streak against Gen.G in official competition. On Sunday, T1 will meet BNK FearX, setting up a contrast between T1’s methodical, top-side-oriented approach and BNK FearX’s aggressive, bottom-lane-focused style.

Week 1 also produced an individual milestone, as BNK FearX bottom laner Nam “Diable” Dae-geun was named the first Gold King of 2026. The award recognizes the player with the highest average gold earned per game during the week, with eligibility limited to competitors who appeared in at least four games.

Week 2 matches will be broadcast live on streaming platforms including Chijijik and SOOP, with in-person tickets available through NOL Ticket.
