Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links Celebrates 9th Anniversary With Free Cards, Login Bonuses, and Special Events

Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links is marking a major milestone this month. Konami Digital Entertainment announced that the digital card game has reached its ninth anniversary, with a special in-game campaign launching Jan. 12 across mobile devices and PC.

The anniversary event introduces a series of rewards and activities aimed at both new and long-time players. Central to the celebration is the availability of the Monster Card Dark Magician Dragon Knight – Red-Eyes Dragoon (Speed), which players can earn during the campaign. The card can also be upgraded with an Animated Surface Finish, adding a visual enhancement not typically available through standard play.

Additional rewards include the OR-style Red-Eyes Black Dragon (Rush) and a commemorative ninth anniversary card, Dimension Linker (Rush). Players will also be able to claim a free Structure Deck titled Red-Eyes Inferno, expanding deck-building options without requiring in-game currency or purchases.

Midway through the campaign, Konami will roll out a limited-time event called the 9th Anniversary Mission Bingo. Completing missions on the bingo board unlocks a variety of rewards, continuing the game’s tradition of event-driven progression.

Alongside event content, Duel Links is offering a 10-day login bonus sequence. Rewards include multiple Dream Tickets for both Speed and Rush formats, SR and UR Selection Tickets with special visual effects, and cosmetic customization options. The final day’s bonus grants players a red name color change, a cosmetic item intended to mark participation in the anniversary celebration.

Konami also highlighted the game’s broader reach, noting that Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links has surpassed 150 million downloads worldwide since its launch. According to the company, players have collectively obtained more than 65 billion cards and participated in roughly 6 billion duels.

Based on the long-running Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game and manga franchise created by Kazuki Takahashi, Duel Links adapts the series’ card battles for streamlined digital play. The game is available as a free download on iOS, Android, and PC via Steam, with optional in-game purchases.
