NetEase Games wrapped up the Dunk City Dynasty Global Championship 2025 last weekend in Shanghai, where mainland China’s ADG secured the title after three days of competition. The tournament, featuring a $100,000 prize pool, brought together top regional teams in the mobile 3v3 basketball game. As part of their victory, ADG will be featured on a Times Square billboard in New York, highlighting the game’s growing international visibility.
The championship marked one of the largest competitive events for Dunk City Dynasty to date, with teams navigating a fast-paced format built around the game’s short 11-point matches. NetEase said the structure is central to the title’s appeal among mobile players.
“When we first launched in China, we noticed a real gap in the market for high-quality basketball games, and our release stepped in to fill that void,” the development team said. “Players expect immediate gratification. If a game doesn’t deliver fun quickly, they lose interest, so our quick-match mode was designed to align with those expectations.”
Season 4 Vol. 2 Expands the Roster With New NBA Pros
Coinciding with the championship, NetEase announced that James Harden, Karl Malone and Aaron Gordon will join the roster in Season 4 Vol. 2. The update expands a lineup that already includes Stephen Curry, Luka Dončić, Kevin Durant and other NBA standouts. New cosmetic sets—including “Sunland,” “Anything Goes,” “Guest” and “Graffiti Master”—will be available through upcoming supply crates and Treasure Hunt events, alongside exclusive jerseys for Harden and Malone.
From Nov. 26 to Dec. 9, players can participate in Party Park, a limited-time activity series introducing Rhythm Shooting and a World Tour challenge inspired by Oklahoma City’s former Durant-Westbrook-Harden trio. Rewards include Diamonds, Star Talent Cards and other progression items.
With a global championship concluded and new NBA talent entering the game, NetEase continues to position Dunk City Dynasty as a growing mobile esports property in China and abroad.
