Riot Games Celebrates Chuseok With New League of Legends Event

Riot Games is bringing festive cheer to League of Legends players with a new in-game event designed for the Chuseok holiday. Running through Sunday, Oct. 12, the “2025 LoL Chuseok Event: Yuumi’s Chuseok Pouch” introduces missions, discounted skins, and in-game rewards to celebrate one of Korea’s most important holidays.

The event centers on earning “Chuseok Pouches,” which players can collect by completing daily missions. These include playing PvP mode for two hours, spending time in PvP matches at PC cafés, or purchasing at least one discounted event skin. Each pouch offers three random skins that the player does not own, with discounts ranging from 30 to 50 percent across a pool of 1,100 skins.

To encourage continued participation, Riot is also rewarding players with additional items depending on the number of discounted skins purchased. These rewards include Ancient Spark, Darckin, Hextech Chests and Keys, and special icons such as “No Reading” and “Full Moon Yuumi.”

A Joyful and Abundant Chuseok Holiday with LoL!

The event’s rewards extend beyond skins and icons. Players who purchase Riot Points (RP) during the event will receive a 10% RP bonus, adding extra value to in-game purchases. By offering both mission-based progression and RP incentives, Riot is aiming to keep players engaged throughout the holiday period.

Full details of Yuumi’s Chuseok Pouch are available on the official League of Legends website, where Riot has also shared promotional images and event guidelines. Riot Games, founded in 2006 in Los Angeles, is best known for launching League of Legends in 2009, a title that has grown into the world’s most-played PC game and a cornerstone of modern esports. The company has since expanded its portfolio to include titles such as Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, VALORANT, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and the upcoming fighting game 2XKO.

The publisher has also invested in storytelling within the Runeterra universe, most notably through its Emmy-winning animated series Arcane. With League of Legends now entering its 15th year, Riot continues to use seasonal events like Yuumi’s Chuseok Pouch to strengthen its bond with players around the world.
