Solo Leveling: ARISE update adds SSR hunter, expands main story

Netmarble has rolled out a substantial content update for “Solo Leveling: ARISE,” its action role-playing game based on the hit webtoon, the company announced Friday. The update adds an SSR Hunter, new main-story chapters and a suite of gameplay enhancements designed to deepen character progression and challenge veteran players.

The centerpiece of the update is Sung Jinah, a wind-type SSR Mage equipped with the exclusive weapon “Blue Monsoon.” Her basic attack unleashes a spear-tip shockwave, while her ultimate, “Stormwind Serenade,” dispels adverse weather and summons a devastating typhoon. Alongside Sung Jinah’s debut, players can outfit her and fellow Mage Seorin in new costumes, and apply the “Reminders of Silence” Job Change attire to Sung Jinwoo.

Players now have access to Main Story Chapters 26 through 29, which culminate in a showdown against the Architect at Cartenon Temple. In tandem, Jinwoo’s latest Job Change class, “Monarch of Shadows: Code Breaker,” becomes available, offering unique shadow-based combat options. Netmarble has also increased the maximum character level cap and raised the ceiling on Activity Funds to grant players more room for growth.

The update debuts the “Amplification System,” enabling upgrades for Transcendent-rank Skill Runes and Blessing Stones. Amplified Skill Runes boost final damage output, while enhanced Blessing Stones confer additional Attack, Defense and HP bonuses, allowing for more nuanced builds.

For players seeking fresh challenges, “The Architect’s Trial” replaces the former Battlefield of Trials. This new mode pits hunters against formidable bosses with escalating difficulty tiers and superior loot drops. The Hard Mode of Power of Destruction, titled “Eternal Condemnation,” is also live, offering endgame veterans a brutal gauntlet.

“Solo Leveling: ARISE” invites fans to relive Jinwoo’s ascent by selecting and combining skills, forging personalized combat styles and summoning an “Army of Shadows.” To stay current on events, patches and community activities, visit the game’s official website or follow Solo Leveling: ARISE on X, Facebook, Instagram, Discord and YouTube.
