Death Stranding 2 × Jackson Pizza Unveil Limited-Edition Atami Pizza in Seoul

In Sinchon, located in Seoul’s Seodaemun District, the on-site program for the Death Stranding World Strand Tour 2 Seoul revealed a joint promotion between Death Stranding 2 and the pizza franchise Jackson Pizza.

Within the Death Stranding universe, pizza serves as a form of cargo that must be transported perfectly level to avoid spilling. In the newly released Death Stranding 2, celebrated Ghost in the Shell director Mamoru Oshii appears in a guest role as a master pizza craftsman, while players continue to navigate deliveries of perfectly flat pizzas across varied terrains.

As part of this collaboration, visitors to Jackson Pizza’s Samgakji location will have the opportunity to order the specially designed Atami Pizza, developed in conjunction with Death Stranding 2.

During the Seoul event, Hideo Kojima explained that the team initially planned to feature the series’ signature octopus motif directly on the pizza, but ultimately chose to recreate the octopus shape using sausage slices as toppings—a decision that evoked fond memories of those classic octopus-shaped sausages and imparted a sense of déjà vu.

Yoji Shinkawa of Kojima Productions noted that, although Mamoru Oshii will not be on-site at the Samgakji branch to bake pizzas in person, he did contribute to the collaboration by hand-drawing the Atami Pizza logo featured on the custom pizza boxes.

The collaboration between Death Stranding 2 and Jackson Pizza launches on Saturday, July 5, exclusively at the Samgakji branch. The Atami Pizza will be limited to 100 servings per day, and each purchaser will receive a Death Stranding 2–themed decal sticker as a complimentary gift.
