During the late morning of August 20 PDT, Krafton revealed new footage for their upcoming titles, inZOI and Dark and Darker Mobile, at the Gamescom Opening Night Live event.
The first reveal was for inZOI, with a brief gameplay demo showcased during the ONL pre-show. While much of the game's interface and gameplay mechanics have already been revealed through previous playtests and trailers, this latest footage offered a closer look at the game's visuals and highlighted a wider array of lifestyle options available within the game.
Krafton continues to build anticipation for its upcoming titles with new reveals at Gamescom 2024. From August 21 to 26, players can experience character customization for inZOI, which is set to enter Early Access in the latter half of 2024. However, the official release date remains under wraps.
The reveal for Dark and Darker Mobile took a different approach, showcasing a video that strayed from traditional gameplay footage. Instead of a typical cinematic trailer, this video blends live-action elements, offering a unique perspective from the protagonist's point of view within the game.
In the trailer, three players repeatedly fail, only to revive in tattered clothing and try again. Through relentless determination, they eventually make significant progress, positioning themselves as worthy competitors. This effectively encapsulates the essence of Dark and Darker Mobile, a cooperative PvPvE extraction game, highlighting the challenges and growth players will experience. The game is slated for release later this year.
In addition to inZOI and Dark and Darker Mobile, Krafton is also featuring PUBG at their Gamescom 2024 booth, showcasing a trio of titles that underline the company's expanding portfolio.
