Gen.G concluded the 2024 LCK Spring Split regular season with a record of 17 wins and 1 loss, securing the top spot. Gen.G had a great start to the season, defeating their strong rival, T1. Except for their only loss against KT Rolster in week 4, Gen.G kept on winning.
Having secured a playoff ticket early on, Gen.G, as the top seed, advances directly to Playoff Round 2, where they can choose their opponent from among the teams that won in the matches between lower seeds.
Meanwhile, the Player of the Game race throughout the season was won by Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon, who accumulated 1,300 points and was selected as the Player of the Split. On the last day, he was voted as the Player of the Game with his remarkable performance playing Sylas in Game 1 against OK BRION.
The second place in the regular season will be decided on Saturday, as T1 and Hanwha Life Esports, with each having a record of 14 wins and 3 losses, will play their last games of the season. Hanwha Life Esports has a game against Dplus KIA, while T1 faces DRX. Currently, T1 has a score difference of +22 and Hanwha Life Esports has +17. If both teams win or lose on Saturday, T1 will secure second place.
With only the last two days remaining in the LCK, six playoff teams have already been confirmed, with only ranking left to be determined. The teams that have secured their playoff spots are Gen.G, T1, Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, Dplus KIA, and Kwangdong Freecs. The playoffs will begin on Mar. 30, leading up to the grand finals on Apr. 14.
