Cloud9 has once again won the LCS Championship. In a dominating 3-0 performance, Cloud9 quickly swept 100 Thieves to earn North America's first seed for the 2022 League of Legends World Championship, as well as the LCS trophy. 100 Thieves will enter Worlds with NA's second seed. 

All members of Cloud9 dominated in the first game — especially in the case of Kim "Berserker" Min-cheol. They won two decisive team fights to gain a massive advantage and quickly converted that into a win. A similar situation occurred in the second game. Although 100 Thieves began the game with a lead throughout the early game, some mid-game heroics from Berserker and Robert "Blaber" Huang allowed Cloud9 to once again pull ahead and force the series to a deciding Game 3. The last series was more of the same — although it went back and forth for the beginning stages of the game, Cloud9's superior team fighting and decision-making allowed them to win the game. 

100 Thieves maintained the same roster that won them two LCS championships last year. Though they did not have the same amount of success in the LCS this season, they maintained their presence as one of the strongest teams in North America. Cloud9 has not won a championship since the LCS 2021 Mid-Season Showdown. The team came into the year with a vastly altered roster, and faced many struggles throughout the spring and portions of the summer — including many logistical difficulties. In the summer, the team helped mid-laner Nicolaj "Jensen" Jensen return to competition, after not competing in the spring.

Cloud9 is one of the most popular esports organizations in the world. They have been a regular representative for North America at Worlds, and are one of the winningest organizations in the history of the LCS.
