The location of the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational has potentially been leaked. According to the leak, this year’s MSI is slated to take place in Busan, South Korea. 

The leak comes from none other than T1’s CEO, Joe Marsh. In a Discord call with Nicholas “LS” De Cesare on LS’ Twitch stream, Joe talked about his conversation with the CEO of Karmine Corp [of the LFL].

The conversation led to Karmine Corp’s plans for bootcamping in Korea. When LS asked Joe about where KC’s planning to bootcamp, Joe replied, “Hopefully, I’m in Busan, because they’re coming during MSI… I’m hoping I’m in Busan”. LS then proceeded to ask, “MSI is in Busan?” where Joe replied “Oh f&*#!”

In February 2022, multiple reports surfaced about MSI taking place in South Korea this year. However, no information has been released on what specific cities will be hosting the event, nor which venues will be used. Immediately after the conversation took place, Inven Global reached out to multiple personnel at Riot Korea for a comment, to which they replied, “We’re afraid we cannot comment about MSI at this time.”
