EXCEL Esports have added LEC caster Marc "Caedrel" Lamont to their organization as a content creator. Under the banner of EXCEL, Caedrel will stream, create content on YouTube. Fans of Caedrel's casting need not worry, though. In the official announcement, the Brit said, "I will still be continuing my LEC casting duties with my role at EXCEL being a separate endeavour where I can explore my passion for streaming and content creation.”

Caedrel is no stranger to the EXCEL brand. During the 2019 and 2020 seasons of the LEC, he was the team's starting jungler. When the team failed to qualify for the 2020 Summer Split playoffs, Caedrel began appearing on the LEC broadcast as a guest analyst. He quickly became a favorite of the viewers and in 2021 became a full-time caster for the broadcast. Ever since, Caedrel has rapidly grown his platform, co-streaming and live-viewing other regional League of Legends competitions.

EXCEL isn't the first brand Caedrel has flirted with since becoming a fulltime caster. In June last year, he reached an agreement with LCK team DRX to co-stream their matches, although he remained an independent content creator.

During the offseason last year, it was revealed that Caedrel had agreed with Team Vitality to join as a coach. After reconsidering and realizing the two careers couldn't coexist, however, he chose to pursue his career as a caster further. Now, at EXCEL, Caedrel will be able to both cast League of Legends and create content.

"His signing at EXCEL marks a welcome return as he will look to bolster the brands content output and engagement," EXCEL said in their official announcement of the signing. Wouter Sleijffers, CEO of EXCEL, added, "Caedrel is a multi-talent and one of Britain's biggest esports personalities and it’s been amazing to see his transformation and growth. We couldn't be more excited that we are reuniting again and I look forward to seeing what we can achieve together."
