Esports organization T1 has officially parted ways with streamer Tyler "Tyler1" Steinkamp. Tyler1 was under contract with T1 for the past year, but the popular League of Legends streamer mentioned on a stream the day of the announcement that both parties mutually agreed to part ways amicably.
“We’d like to thank Tyler1 for being a part of the T1 family,” T1 said in their announcement on their official Twitter announcement . “We are thankful for the time you’ve spent here and all the memories made. We will continue to watch your growth and we know you’ll continue to shine!” T1 is the only esports organization that Tyler1 has signed with in his career, and it's currently unknown whether he'll be looking for a new org to partner with or return to independent streaming.
Tyler1 signed with T1 in the midst of the 2020 League of Legends World Championship on October 17, and during his time with the organization, he made a plethora of content with other members of the organization — notably legendary mid laner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok — in addition to continuing to stream League of Legends. Tyler1 also continued to put on tournaments like the Tyler1 Championship Series, and even hosted a virtual power meet last September with Twitch Rivals.
For now, it looks as though Tyler1 will continue his set of streams focused on reaching Challenger in every role.
The Draven main has hit Challenger tier on the ladder of the League of Legends North America server several times as an AD carry, but has now hit Challenger in multiple roles and is currently mid-climb in the support position.
T1's League of Legends team is currently 1st place in the 2022 LCK Spring Split with a record of 6-0. T1 will play their next match in the LCK against Hanwha Life Esports on Wednesday, February 9 at 12:00am PT.
