Rachell "Valkyrae" Hofstetter announced on Monday that she will be keeping her content on YouTube for the coming year. She made a brief, but high production, video, with the announcement, concluding with the simple statement "Just staying on YouTube Gaming."
Valkyrae originally signed an exclusive streaming deal with YouTube in early 2020. She recently completed her latest contract, leading to some speculation that she could be sniped away from YouTube by Twitch. That speculation was further enhanced by a cryptic tweet in mid-January, in which she said she "can't stream" until the "next announcement."
However, that announcement simply confirmed she will be remaining with YouTube Gaming, at least for the next year!
YouTube Gaming has acquired numerous big creators over the past couple of years, including CouRage, Valkyrae, and Ludwig, among others. Twitch, YouTube, and Facebook all continue to fight for position in the burgeoning streaming market.
