In 2021, xQc didn't only purchase fast and expensive vehicles in Grand Theft Auto RP. The successful streamer also paid $300,000 for a McLaren 720s Spider despite not having a license.
In a late November stream, xQc showed off a photo of the exotic car, explaining that he has never purchased anything for himself in years. But when he saw the McLaren, he "pulled the trigger," admitting that he couldn't resist the expensive ride.
"When I saw this, I just wanted it. That's just what I want, it is what it is," xQc said.
But the photograph wasn't enough to convince people that xQc actually purchased the $300,000 car. Many pointed out that xQc can't legally drive and doesn't even have a license. A lot of fans felt that xQc was trolling his fans to get a reaction.
In a recent stream, xQc decided to prove that he truly does have the car in his possession. This time, instead of just showing a picture, xQc brought his audience with him to his garage. During the December 22 live stream, xQc could be seen sitting inside the car. He revs the engine and also opens the suicide doors.
Why does xQc not have a driver's license?
Unfortunately, the car won't be doing much more than sitting in a garage any time soon. xQc doesn't have his license.
Fans have often joked about xQc's lack of a license but the streamer isn't too bothered. He had no interest in driving, stating that he is "irresponsible" for the main reason. xQc said on stream in 2019 that he didn't want to endanger himself or others.
xQc's virtual driving in Forza Horizon 5 has proven that the streamer really is as bad at driving as he claimed. While taking a sharp turn in the racing game, xQc ended up hurting his finger. It really did seem to be the best for him and everyone else if he stayed off the road.
But the McLaren that xQc couldn't resist may finally change his mind. It's possible that xQc will get driving lessons and earn his license just to show off this unique and expensive vehicle. But for now, picturing xQc speeding down the highway at 200-plus miles per hour is a scary, scary thought.
