Bluehole officially launched the studio’s new VR title Valkyrie Blade as a free-to-play in Oculus and the Steam store.

Valkyrie Blade is a first-person action game optimized for VR platforms with motion controller support. The controlling system allows the players to attack and defend according to how they swing their controllers, adding to the game’s immersive combat experience. The game renders its own fantasy world with graphical quality high enough to meet modern standards.

Bluehole’s producer Jiho Kim stated, “Valkyrie Blade is an experimental action game that maximizes the satisfying feeling of slicing through enemies, something that’s rather hard to find in existing VR games.” He also added that he wants many players to try the game and experience its unique appeal as a VR title.

Valkyrie Blade passed through Steam Greenlight on March 30th, and is available for download in Oculus and the Steam store.
