Apex Legends dropped its Season 11 Escape launch trailer on Thursday. The story trailer features several Legends from the game and shows off a brand new tropical island area, new fauna, and the new Agent Ash.
Here is everything we learned from the Apex Legends: Escape launch trailer!
New Map: A tropical paradise
First and foremost, the new season trailer confirmed what was already rumored, that Season 11 is bringing a new map to the game and it is a sunny tropical island!
Based on the trailer, the map features gorgeous beaches, thick jungle underbrush, and some mountainous terrain.
We were also introduced to some new Fauna that will be prowling about. We were first introduced to some type of land predator who attempted to eat Mirage, and then a bunch of Shelob-style giant spiders who showed up later in the trailer.
They also showed off a gaggle of chicken-like creatures running around the beach, as well as the return of Flyers that we have seen in other maps. So we can expect plenty of predators and maybe some non-predators wandering around the map, in addition to other players.
New Agent: Ash is here!
We finally got to get our first peek at Ash in action. Ash was formerly an antagonist in Titanfall 2, and we got a story trailer about her origins early this week. This is the first time we have seen her take on other Legends from Apex.
When she shows up in the trailer, we see her throw some kind of electricity trap at Caustic and then wield a sword against Revenant. She then throws a data knife into a dead Caustic and apparently gained some type of intel before dashing off into the jungle. Presumably, these are all hints at what her abilities might do, though we still haven't been given a complete run-down of her character.
New CAR SMG revealed
A new weapon was revealed in the new trailer. It looks like an SMG, and based on previous leaks we can surmise that this is the CAR SMG, a weapon that previously was featured in Titanfall 2.
Apex Legends Season 11 launches on November 2nd.
