Apex Legends fixes some game-breaking issues, but not all of them

Source: Respawn Entertainment

Respawn pushed a brand new patch for Apex Legends on Monday, claiming that the patch will "meaningfully address teleporting, packet loss, and lag" that players have been experiencing ever since they dropped patch 10.1 last week. But the game still has game-breaking issues for many players, that won't be addressed until Wednesday at the earliest.

In their Tweet announcing the new patch, they also revealed that there is an issue with animated banner poses that has not yet been addressed that can cause your game to crash. SO\o if you are using one of those banner poses, it is best to remove it until Wednesday when they will push a fix for that.

Monday's patch comes after nearly a week of shotty server experiences, with a large number of players experiencing disconnections, lag issues, and major packet loss. Last week on Thursday, the developers warned that players would have to wait until at least this week before the game-breaking issues are fixed. That is not an announcement that any AAA gaming company wants to make about its product.

Even with Monday's update live, Respawn stated that they are still working through issues related to game crashes.

"We’re still continuing to work through issues causing higher-than-normal crashes, and we have hope that our patch scheduled for Wednesday will help," the developer explained apologetically. "But with today’s patch we’re making progress. From all of us on the dev team: We deeply appreciate your patience with us."

So while some issues are fixed, we will have to wait until Wednesday to see if Respawn can successfully fix the game after they somehow broke it completely last week. We will continue to provide updates about when Apex Legends is stable again.
