The brand new OTS 9 SMG is dropping in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War later this week with the Season four reloaded patch. The patch will go live on Thursday, July 15th, launching with it both the OTS 9 SMG, as well as the new operator Weaver, and Warzone's first-ever objective-based game mode called Payload.
According to the announcement on Monday, the new fully automatic OTS 9 submachine gun will feature a small magazine, low recoil, and a high fire rate. The announcement even went as far as preemptively suggesting you run extended magazines on this gun, to push it to its maximum potential.
It is unclear how the OTS 9 will stack up against the current Warzone SMG meta, which has been dominated by weapons like the Milano 821 and the MAC-10 throughout Warzone Season 4. That said, Raven Software did say that it is "primed to compete with the best SMGs across Black Ops Cold War and Warzone" so it appears the developers are at least hoping this weapon will be competitive right off the bat.
You can unlock the weapon by purchasing a weapon blueprint or by completing in-game challenges.
