Dignitas announced details for their upcoming Verizon VCT Game Changers NA tournament. The all-women's VALORANT tournament, which is hosted by Dignitas, will feature a $50,000 price pool. The finals of the event will take place in a double-elimination bracket, with each match being decided by a best-of-three series. The qualifier for the event will take place June 19-20, with the Main Event taking place June 24-27.
You will be able to tune into the main event at Twitch.tv/Dignitas, as well as co-streams from Dignitas content creators starsmitten, herculyse, artStar & sapphiRe.
A total of 31 teams will participate in the qualifier, and eight teams will qualify for the final event. The teams planning to attend the Dignitas' Verizon VCT Game Changers NA tournament include Cloud 9 White, Dignitas, TSM, Gen.G Team Bumble, and CLG Red, among others.
Riot's announced the Game Changers series earlier this year, as a way of creating more exposure and opportunities for female and marginalized gendered esports pros, many of whom have struggled to gain visibility and opportunities in the esports space. When they announced the new tournament series in February, Riot explained, “Through Game Changers, we hope to build towards a Valorant Champions Tour that is more inclusive and representative of our community.”
