As if the League of Legends universe wasn't big enough, it will soon be coming to one of the largest streaming services in the world, Netflix.

Shown in a brief trailer on Monday morning, League of Legends: Arcane is an animated series set to debut in the fall to the more than 200 million monthly subscribers of the streaming service.

First teased back in 2019 and later delayed until this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the series will be produced by Riot Games in partnership with Fortiche Productions, according to a press release.

Little is known about what the series will entail but Netflix did share a little tidbit of information about what fans new and old can expect:

"Set in the utopian regio of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League champions and the power that will tear them apart."

In the brief 19 second long trailer, players familiar with the game can see a few familiar faces. Jinx, Vi, and Viktor all make pretty clear appearances while the rest of the characters shown are a bit more difficult to figure out.
