In the 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split on Feb. 27, Hanwha Life Esports defeated DRX and DWG KIA took down T1.
The first match was between Hanwha Life Esports and DRX. In game 1, Jeong "Chovy" Ji-hoon's Lucian shined. Chovy's Lucian made a 100+ CS difference and shoved in 42,000 damage. DRX stood strong, but they weren't able to take enough objectives and eventually fell.
The second game also went to Hanwha Life Esports. In all of the fights, Hanwha Life Esports took more benefits from the beginning. With their advantage, they collected all the dragons and took the Mountain Dragon's soul in just 24 minutes. At this point, the difference was already too big. After taking Baron, Hanwha Life Esports destroyed DRX's Nexus.
The second match was between T1 and DWG KIA. T1 focused on the laning phase in the first game, but DWG KIA collected solo kills in mid and bot lanes, and the game tilted towards DWG KIA. With the advantage, DWG KIA took the objectives and won in the teamfights as well.
T1 struck back in game 2. The game was close until mid-game, but Moon "Oner" Hyeon-joon's Lillia made a difference. When DWG KIA was retreating after a dragon fight, Oner put three champions to sleep and T1 had a big teamfight win. Through this win, T1 pushed hard with Baron and tied the match.
The third game was in DWG KIA's favor. Kim "Canyon" Geon-bu's Nidalee had scaled well, and scored kills in the top and bot lanes. T1 tried to push the sidelanes with Ryze and Camille, but DWG KIA didn't shake. As a result, DWG KIA took the win in 25 minutes. With the win, DWG KIA extended their winning streak to 9.
