Members of Dignitas reportedly test positive for COVID-19

According to a report by independent content creator Travis Gafford, multiple members of esports organization Dignitas have tested positive for COVID-19.

The alleged news was broken shortly after Inven Global confirmed that esports organization Counter Logic Gaming had several of its League of Legends Championship Series members of its team test positive for COVID-19. Gafford mentioned Inven Global's report in his Tweet, implying that the members of Dignitas who reportedly tested positive are also LCS players.

DIG has not commented on the report, but in Inven Global's CLG report, General Manager Daniel "Tafokints" Lee told Parkes Ousley that while members of the team who tested positive were in quarantine, but the online nature of the 2021 LCS Lock-in due to COVID-19 was allowing all members of the team to continue practicing, albeit remotely in certain cases:

"We put everyone in quarantine that may have been exposed, and from there everyone started practicing at home," said Tafokints. "There's not anyone that's unable to play [due to] direct illnesses... Everyone is playing and scrimming."

Whether Dignitas will have to swap players out from its LCS roster has yet to be seen. DIG currently has 10 players between LCS and DIG Academy, but is the only organization in the league to not have announced a coach officially.

Dignitas' first match in Group B of the 2021 LCS Lock-In is on the evening of Friday, January 15 against 2020 LCS Summer Playoffs finalist FlyQuest, so if any roster moves need to be made should Gafford's report hold true, expect the organization to make any announcements within the next day or two.
