League of Legends Pro League organization Suning has announced it is parting ways with its star support Hu "SwordArt" Shuo-Chieh. The move was announced publicly via the team's Twitter account.
SwordArt is one of the most decorated veterans in the League of Legends esports scene and most recently qualified for his first World Championship final this season with Suning. Despite losing the finals to DAMWON Gaming 3-1, Suning's run exceeded expectations and left the organization with nothing to be ashamed of in 2020.
It was initially reported by Jacob Wolf that TSM was looking to sign SwordArt for the 2021 League of Legends Championship Series as a replacement for Vincent "Biofrost" Wang. However, no news of the deal being finalized, or even anything hinting at the possibility of such, has occured since the initial report. However, Suning officially announcing SwordArt's departure could mean that the legendary support has found a new home, but that doesn't necessarily mean that home is TSM.
TSM has signed Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage in the mid lane to replace Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, and after parting ways with top laner Sergen "Broken Blade" Çelik, it was reported that the team was looking to figure out a trade with Evil Geniuses for top laner Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon. As of now, POE has been signed, but SwordArt and Huni have not.
Should SwordArt come to TSM, he would immediately be a top 2 support in North America alongside Team Liquid's Jo "CoreJJ" Yong-in, but wherever SwordArt ends up, he will prove as a massive upgrade to whatever team he joins due to his experience and elite level of play.
