In recent days, there’s been a rumor surrounding Kim Jeong-soo, the former head coach for T1, where Billibilli Gaming from the LPL offered him 12,000,000 Yuan (~1,816,778.40 USD) to join the team. In response to this rumor, he provided a response, saying that while he is in negotiations, nothing has become official, and that he’s perplexed in where such rumors came from.
Coach Kim’s agent, who’s representing Kim in his negotiations, provided an official statement to Inven via phone call. He did confirm that Kim will most likely be heading to the LPL, and stated, “While it’s true that we’re actively negotiating with BLG, we’re also in talks with other LPL teams as well. Nothing is set in stone, but it's most likely that he’ll be a part of an LPL team next season.”
Regarding the 12,000,000 Yuan (~1,816,778.40 USD), the agent commented, “It’s always
very good thing that the client gets offered a large sum of money. However, if the amount really was 12,000,000 Yuan (~1,816,778.40 USD), he’d already be on a plane to China”, thus denouncing all rumors surrounding the amount.
Lastly, he commented, “Coach Kim is actively talking to many different teams, focusing on what his responsibilities on the team will be, his level of authority within the team, and the teams’ overall atmosphere. It won’t be long until he picks his next team.
