Apex Legends has teamed up with Artifact Studios (RTFKT) to create a unique, Rampart-inspired pair of shoes for its social media campaign, “Rampart’s Rarities.” If the design looks familiar, you may not be surprised to know that the co-founder of RFTKT is the one and only Chris Le, who has been designing custom gaming kicks for years.
The base of the Rampart is the classic Air Jordan 3. Easy to identify by its mid-cut height and trademark eyelet layout, the AJ3 has always been a mix of tech, function, and style: a perfect fit for the boisterous modder, Rampart.
TIt is simple to enter for a chance of winning: Follow @PlayApex on Twitter and Retweet the contest tweet by October 13th.
In a recent tweet, Le teased that more Apex sneakers may be yet to drop, sharing looks inspired by Crypto, Lifeline, Octane, and Wattson. These, however, appear to be prizes for Nice Kicks on Instagram. Unfortunately, more info outside is not currently available.
It’d be a disservice to this article to not delve into more of Le’s designs. From Fortnite to Fnatic, scrolling through their Instagram feed features a treasure-trove of would-be gamer grails that you have to see to believe. For those Apex Legends fans (you clicked this article, right?) you can find the artist’s first exploration just 10 days after the game’s release. This Pathfinder-inspired silhouette is built from an Air Max 90, and mirrors Pathfinder’s display and piping in addition to his base colorway.
