The three highest ranked Worlds 2020 competitors on China's super server are all supports in Team Liquid's CoreJJ, Suning's substitue owo, and G2 Esports' Mikyx, respectively. Fnatic top laner Bwipo, who was the highest ranked worlds competitor on the super server before the start of the play-in, is right behind them in 4th. Team Liquid AD carry Tactical rounds out the top 5.
Amongst all the starters on Worlds 2020 teams, four other substitutes in addition to owo are also climbing the ladder in impressive fashion. Machi Esports substitute AD carry Atlen, Fnatic substitute mid laner MagiFelix, TSM substitute support Treatz, and Team Liquid substitute top laner Jenkins are all also in Challenger on the super server.
The group stage of Worlds 2020 kicks off on Saturday, October 3rd in Shanghai at 4:00pm local time. The first match will feature Top Esports, the first seed from China's League of Legends Pro League, against FlyQuest, the second seed from North America's League of Legends Championship Series, for the first game of Group D.
