On February 29th (Local time), Epic Games hosted a keynote event at GDC 2017 where they outlined their vision and goals for the future. The most notable parts of the keynote were their new Oculus-exclusive game, 'Robo Recall', and a price cut on the Oculus Rift and the Touch VR Motion Controller.

'Robo Recall' is an Oculus-exclusive title developed by Epic Games. Making use of Unreal Engine 4 and Touch to their fullest, the game offers "gratifying gameplay and an in-depth scoring system", and it comes with an unbeatable price tag of free for the owners of Oculus Rift.

The game already has full mod support, and its source code is freely available through the 'Robo Recall Mod Kit'.

Along with Robo Recall, the keynote also announced a price cut on the products. As of now, the Oculus Rift + Touch package will cost $598, down from $798.  Individual devices will be available at $499 for the Oculus Rift, and $99 for the Touch. Also, extra sensors will now cost $59 each, down from $79.

Brandon Iribe, the co-founder of Oculus, stressed the importance of both the software and hardware side of VR. Through the price cut, Robo Recall and hundreds of other titles available on the Oculus Store, he hopes that more gamers will be able to enjoy the VR experience.
