4A Games, a Ukrainian video game company, has released the early game footage of its latest game, Arktika.1 at the GDC 2017.

Arktika.1 is a VR FPS game set in a post-apocalyptic world and is one of the first games that Oculus Touch supports. The player is a mercenary hired to guard a facility for living organisms and must protect the facility from a variety of dangers by utilizing different gear.

The gameplay preview reveals some action from the early portion of the game, where the player enters the facility via car and learns how to use some guns.

Arktika.1 is the second post-apocalyptic FPS game that has been developed by 4A Games, the first one being Metro: Last Light (based on the novel Metro 2034). Will Arktik.1 open up new possibilities for VR FPS games? The game is still in the pipeline but surely has a great potential, and we are set to find out this year.
