Schalke 04 continues to keep the “Miracle Run” alive, fighting against all odds, and going 3-0 in the League of Legends European Championship Super Week, including a victory against ranking leaders MAD Lions.
Starting the week off with less than 10% of a chance of making it to the LEC playoffs, the Royal Blues have won every single match in the Super Week, getting closer and closer to the top 6, and the dream of qualifying to playoffs has become more attainable with the team’s recent resurgence.
Recently, the team has seen a complete roster shuffle. From swapping members of the Academy team with the LEC team, they struggled to find a strategy that worked out on the rift. Eventually, the roster featuring Andrei “Odoamne” Pascu, Erberk “Gilius” Demir, Felix “Abbedage” Braun, Matúš “Neon” Jakubčík and Han “Dreams” Min-kook has proven to see the most success in the league, going from zero to hero.
Everything that has been in the team's hands, Schalke 04 has done. Now, it's in the hands of their competitors. In order to qualify for playoffs, the team will need Excel Esports and FNATIC to lose their remaining matches in the regular split. Excel is playing G2 Esports next, and Fnatic faces SK Gaming at the very end of super week.
