Kim Min-ah, the hostess for the LCK analyst desk, has temporarily stepped down from the LCK..
On the 1st (KST), Kim has been under fire for saying sexual remarks against a minor on the official Korean government Youtube channel. She posted an apology on her social media page, which stated, “I’m very sorry for my comments to a minor on a video posted on the official Korean government Youtube channel. I’m very embarrassed to have acted in such a manner, and I will make sure that it never happens again. I should’ve posted my statement a lot sooner, but because of scheduling conflicts, I was unable to provide my statement. I’ll make sure to take responsibility and personally apologize for those affected by my actions. Furthermore, I’ll make sure to be wary of my own actions in the future and not cross any lines for stimulative content.”
After much discussion within Riot Korea on her appearance at the LCK analyst desk, Riot posted a comment on their official Facebook page about Kim. Riot Korea stated, “Kim Min-ah, one of the hostesses for the LCK analyst desk, told us that she wants to take some time for reformation, and after much internal discussion, we’ve decided to accept her request. We’d like to apologize to all the LCK fans for the disappointing news.”
The 2020 LCK Summer split welcomed two new hostesses, Lee Jung-hyun and Yoon Su-bin, alongside their original hostess, Kim Min-ah. With Kim stepping down, the LCK analyst desk will be hosted by Lee and Yoon in rotation.
