With APK renaming themselves to SeolHaeOne Prince for the upcoming 2020 LCK Summer split, they’ve also appointed a new CEO, Kwon kiyeon. In order to gather fans worldwide and strengthen their business strategies, they’ve taken various steps in systemizing their organization layout.
Last split, under their original name, APK Prince, had a rocky start to their very first split in the LCK. However, as the split went on, they’ve shown drastic improvement as the split went on, ultimately coming in 7th place in the standings. The explosive playstyle they’ve demonstrated in Round 2 not only proved many experts wrong, but also captured the hearts of many fans worldwide.
Last December, APE Sports announced that they’ve successfully partnered up with SeolHaeOne Resort. They’ve renamed themselves for the 2020 LCK Summer split as SeolHaeOne Prince, and looks to take the LCK by storm.
Kwon kiyeon, the newly appointed CEO, stated, “The young generation shows incredible passion and actively supports their favorite esports team. They’re the ones who raise the value of esports, and are the main characters who are nurturing esports on a global scale.”
“APE will actively communicate with the young generation of today to challenge and grow together in the field of esports. Through fortification of our business plans and expansion of our global fan base, we will make sure to give it our all to become the ones who lead the culture in esports.
As franchising draws near in the LCK, APE Sports recently appointed Kang Do-Kyeong as the general manager of the team. He’s a former StarCraft Pro player who not only has much experience as a player, but in coaching and nurturing players as well. As the 10th anniversary of the LCK draws near, and the 2020 LCK Summer split is just around the corner, SeolHaeOne Prince prepares to take flight in their own unique way.
