On the 30th (KST), SANDBOX Gaming was the last team to survive in the 2020 League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) Summer Promotion Tournament, the last promotion/relegation series there will be in the LCK. By defeating Seorabeol Gaming 3-0, SANDBOX managed to stay in the LCK.
Starting from the first game, SANDBOX Gaming dominated Seorabeol Gaming. Seorabeol attempted to play through their top half by picking Darius, Elise, and Pantheon, but SANDBOX dealt well against Seorabeol’s dives. From laning to macro, to teamfights, SANDBOX was ahead.
SANDBOX took an early lead in Game 2 as well, but Kim “OnFleek” Jang-gyeom’s Elise and Park “Summit” Woo-tae was cut off meaninglessly. However, it didn’t have much influence on the game, as SANDBOX took the game.
Seorabeol picked Kog’Maw and Lulu into their bot lane in the third game as they didn’t have any more space to back off. SANDBOX mid laner Yoo “FATE” Soo-hyeok answered with Azir, which he hadn’t used much in the league. Azir was unstoppable as he recorded an 11/2/4 record.
Through the 3-0 victory, SANDBOX Gaming survived from hell. They will be competing in the 2020 LCK Summer Split along with Team Dynamics who was promoted in this series. Seorabeol Gaming and Griffin will be playing in Challengers Korea.
