Riot Games announced the top 10 finalists for the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split Most Valuable Player award last Friday, and on Monday, April 13, the group of nominees was narrowed down to five players.

Cloud9 Support Philippe "Vulcan" Laflamme, FlyQuest Mid Laner Tristan "PowerOfEvil" Schrage, Dignitas Mid Laner Henrik "Froggen" Hansen, TSM Mid Laner Søren "Bjergsen" Bjerg, and TSM Top Laner Sergen "Broken Blade" Çelik did not make the top 5 voting. The five players left — 3 from Cloud9, 1 from Evil Geniuses, and 1 from 100 Thieves — are all members of top 3 teams in the 2020 LCS Spring Split.

100 Thieves Top Laner Kim "Ssumday" Chan-ho is in the final 5 for the MVP award for his star performances and consistency in 100 Thieves race to 3rd place in the 2020 LCS Spring Split standings. EG Mid Laner Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro was vital to EG's mid-split turnaround. Jesper "Zven" Svenningsen, Yasin "Nisqy" Dincer, and Robert "Blaber" Huang, the AD Carry, Mid Laner, and Jungler for Cloud9, respectively, round out the top 5.

Riot Games will be announcing the 2020 LCS Spring Split MVP later on this week. If previous post-seasons are any indicator, the announcement will most likely take place a day or two before the Finals.
