Fnatic has reigned supreme on its series against Origen, at the 2020 League of Legends European Championship Playoffs. Origen scuffled Fnatic for the first two matches, making the community wonder when they would come out and play. What seemed like a 3-0 had turned into a 2-1 when Origen took back a victory, but in the end, Fnatic triumphed dominantly over their opponents.
The team had seen an underwhelming beginning of the split, struggling against MAD Lions and Rogue for the highest spot in the standings. According to Top Laner Gabriël "Bwipo" Rau, the team was struggling to find synergy and unlock its mid-jungle prowess. Turning tides on week 4, Fnatic managed to climb to the top of standings, going 13-5.
Fnatic will be advancing in the 2020 LEC Spring Playoffs, to play against the MAD Lions, who took the crown from G2 Esports just last night. Both Origen and Fnatic had been tied for second place, followed by the superstar rookie team. The loser of this round will play the winner of tomorrow’s game between Rogue and Misfits.
