Riot Games showcases "Chronobreak" while saving an LCS match

On February 13th, there was a glitch in third game of the match between C9 and FlyQuest in the 2017 NA LCS Spring Split. The glitch in question occurred when Miss Fortune's Bullet Time was invisible due to a cannon minion. When a glitch like this happens, the game is either remade or it continues regardless of what happened because of the glitch. Either way, there's bound to be a team that gets the short end of the stick.

However, it wasn't the case this time. After about half an hour, the teams were sent back to a point in the game just a few seconds before the teamfight, and the match went on just as it did before, but without the visual glitch.

The tool is named "Deterministic Disaster Recovery", but it can also be called "Chronobreak" - aptly named after Ekko's ultimate ability that allows Ekko to go back in time. It allows Riot to save every input and state that happened within a game and accurately return to any time and state of that game.

While it is not yet known when this chronobreaking technology will arrive to other leagues, it is sure to be a positive step for the game's integrity, since it can prevent possible controversies arising from remade games.
