On the second to last day of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Academy League Spring Split, Immortals Academy suffered its 10th loss of the season to Dignitas Academy. As a result, TSM Academy and 100 Thieves Academy, who were both tied for 4th place at 9-7, simultaneously qualified for the 2020 LCS Academy League Spring Playoffs.

TSM Academy and 100 Thieves Academy play against one another as their respective penultimate matches of the Spring Split, but instead of deciding post-season qualification, the match will merely serve as a means of seeding the two teams properly into the Spring Playoffs. 

Cloud9 Academy, Dignitas Academy, and Evil Geniuses Academy have also qualified for the post-season. None of the five teams have secured specific seeds in the 2020 LCS Academy League Spring Playoffs at this time.
