On the 28th (KST), two teams on the top of the LCK standings, DragonX and T1, defeated their opponents, APK Prince and SANDBOX Gaming respectively. With both matches ending in 2-0, DRX and T1 snowballed the game early to definitively take the victory. Once again, T1 in ched ahead of Gen.G to take 1st place in the standings.

DRX showed absolute dominance against APK, right from the get-go. Although APK scored First Blood against DRX, the skirmishes after it played in favor of DRX. Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon was quicker in grouping up with the team, scored 4 kills, and was able to grow.  The snowball from the objective contesting teamfights that DRX won did not stop, and with Dragon Soul and Baron buff, they were able to dominate their enemy.

The momentum from game 1 carried over to game 2. This game was all about Doran and Jung “Chovy” Ji-hoon pressuring the opposing laners’ HP bars, and Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon was able to swoop in for the kills. Before anyone knew it, Pyosik’s KDA on Kindred was 5/0/1. Afterwards, bold dives and skirmishes near the Baron pit allowed DRX to get so far ahead, that it was 18:3 by 23 minutes. Although APK was able to win a teamfight with Azir’s Emperor’s Divide, the game was not salvageable. DRX was able to close out the game with another teamfight near Baron.

In the second match, T1 faced off against SANDBOX. T1 was able to successfully invade the enemy jungle and was able to put the enemy jungler behind. The snowball from that invade and the laning phase, T1 was able to take both Dragon Soul and Baron to destroy the enemy nexus in under 31 minutes and zero deaths.

In game 2, the two teams put priorities on different objectives. T1 was able to focus SANDBOX’s top Soraka and stack up on Dragons, while SANDBOX focused on sieging T1’s tier one turret. However, they used SANDBOX’s siege as an opportunity. When SANDBOX was summoning the Rift Herald, T1 took the teamfight to dominate their opponent. T1 executed a game plan, where Sett/Gragas/Azir was able to provide the front line, while Park “Teddy” Jin-seong was able to safely deal damage front to back on Kai’sa. T1 eventually took SANDBOX’s mid and bottom inhibitors and took the victory in their own methodical way.
