On the 15th (KST), it has been announced via the head producer for the LCK, Yaewon Jin, that Bryce “EGym” Paule has joined the LCK global casting team. With Christopher “PapaSmithy” Smith stepping down as the color commentator for the global LCK team last year to join 100 Thieves as their General Manager, EGym looks to fill his shoes and reinforce the team.

He first joined the scene as a player, then a coach in the OPL. Since then, he moved on to become a caster in the OPL, and as one of the representatives for the OPL, he was also invited to cast in the 2019 LoL World Championships.

PapaSmithy was a long time staple as an English-speaking color commentator in the LCK. With PapaSmithy gone, EGym now joins Atlus, LS, and Valdes to replace one of the most popular commentators in the world. With such big shoes to fill, many will be curious to see the synergy with the other casters and the vibrancy that EGym will bring to the global LCK fans.
