Earlier today, Blizzard announced that Lúcio will be entering the Nexus on the PTR tomorrow, much sooner than anticipated. Overwatch fans, rejoice!
Heroes of the Storm players have been complaining for months about the lack of supports in lieu of Warcraft assassins, but Blizzard is finally delivering. As the newest support, Lúcio will add greater depth to drafting and hero interactions and will also be bringing in some of his own style.
He will be the third Overwatch character released in Heroes of the Storm, behind Tracer and Zarya, and it appears that his Overwatch kit will transfer over almost identically, according to the promo video. Similar to Tracer, it appears he’ll have a moving shot attack. In addition, he’ll be gaining some new skills and talents such as a distinct wall-run Trait, similar to Taliyah’s Rock Surfing Trait in League of Legends. At the moment, it’s unclear what his second Heroic will be.
The PTR patch will likely also include significant balance changes to look out for. It will be going live tomorrow evening in North America, so make sure to log in and check Lúcio out!
