Bdd’s Super Plays Propel KT Rolster to a 2–0 Sweep Over Nongshim RedForce in LCK Round 3

On July 24 at LoL Park, the clash between kt Rolster and Nongshim RedForce in the Round 3 Legend Group of the 2025 LCK ended in a clean 2–0 victory for KT Rolster. The team’s ace, Gwak "Bdd" Bo-sung, delivered a series of highlight‑worthy plays that proved decisive.

In the early laning phase of Game 1, Nongshim executed a three‑man bottom‑lane dive to take downLee "PerfecT" Seung-min's Gwen. Skirmishes erupted repeatedly around the map: KT Rolster held a slight edge in kills, but Nongshim’s superior macro play translated into a gold lead. After securing Rift Herald, Nongshim’s jungler, Hwang "Kingen" Seong-hoon, pulled off a remarkable dragon steal on Rumble, evening the dragon stacks at 2–2 by the 25‑minute mark.

However, KT Rolster swung momentum back when Bdd landed a superlative play—cutting through the enemy backline—to win the ensuing team fight and secure Baron Nashor. Looking to snowball off the Baron buff, KT Rolster pushed toward the mid‑lane second turret, but Gwen was caught out and killed, allowing Nongshim to grab the third dragon stack first. With dragon stacks tied again at 3–3, the match hinged on a single late‑game team fight.

A few more engagements followed, but kt Rolster’s cohesion shone brightest. Centered around Bdd’s Taliyah, they dismantled Nongshim’s defenses and destroyed the Nexus to take Game 1. For Game 2, Nongshim picked Varus, prompting KT Rolster to draft multiple counters—Ziggs, Zed, Aurora—while Nongshim answered with Shen, Yone, and Camille. In the mid lane, Bdd’s Aurora found the kill on Yone, and kt Rolster also eked out a winning 2v2 skirmish in the bottom lane. Holding mid‑lane priority, Aurora struck again on Yone, shattering Nongshim’s balance.

Jungler Moon "Cuzz" Woo-chan’s Zed roamed down to the bottom lane to finish off Shen, extending KT Rolster’s advantage. Nongshim attempted to punish Ziggs with Shen‑Camille combos, but KT Rolster’s responses were crisp. Even when Nongshim invested heavily to take down Yorick, Ziggs swiftly cleared the wave, negating any follow‑up gains.

Nongshim tried another bottom‑lane assault, but KT Rolster anticipated it, turned the tables to pick up kills, and claimed the dragon. Frustrated, Nongshim repeatedly sought skirmishes near the top lane, trading evenly and securing Rift Herald, which allowed them to close the gold gap gradually. Yet in the subsequent team fight near Rift Herald, KT Rolster achieved a decisive victory: although Nongshim’s Shen stunned Zed with a Flash‑taunt combo, the ensuing area‑of‑effect damage decimated Nongshim’s lineup. Ultimately, KT Rolster rolled through the final mid‑lane engagement, demolished Nongshim’s Nexus, and wrapped up a swift 2–0 sweep in just 27 minutes.
