T1 defeated Dplus KIA 3–1 in the Round 2 losers’ bracket matchup of the 2025 LCK Playoffs at Seoul’s LoL Park on the 18th. T1 had struggled with form coming in, but today they looked like a different team, dispatching DK cleanly to advance and, at the same time, clinch a berth at the 2025 League of Legends World Championship. T1 will now face Gen.G in a best-of-five on the 21st for a higher playoff seed and a spot in the next round.

Below is the full post-match interview with T1 head coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun and mid laner Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok.

How do you feel about today’s win?

kkOma: We won, and I’m happy that we’re going to Worlds.

Faker: I’m relieved we won. I’m grateful for the chance to play the next match, and I’ll prepare hard.

How did you prepare, and what went well?

kkOma: We lost our previous series 0–3. We went back over our play, cleaned up our priority tiers for picks, and shored things up. I expected good results to follow.

Faker: We had a lot of games where we steered the early and mid game in our favor.

What did you fix after the last defeat?

kkOma: I think it turned into a one-sided loss for a number of reasons.

Faker: As a team, we were often coming out behind in fights, so we addressed that.

Thoughts on Game 1 today?

kkOma: There were parts where we were ahead, but we lost in a disappointing way, so we had to think about how to approach the rest of the series.

Faker: Our composition made it hard to force fights. That made the early and mid game especially important, and it was unfortunate how it turned out.

DK prepared a variety of strategies against T1. What was tricky?

Faker: Same as before—I consider them a team that prepares a lot of different looks. Most of it fell within what we expected. What’s a bit tricky is how they try to exploit small openings.

Next up is Gen.G. A win would lock you into the No. 3 seed.

kkOma: If we prepare well, I think we have a real shot.

Faker: The prep time isn’t long, but we’ll get ready as best we can and try to win.

How confident are you about Worlds?

kkOma: We don’t know what seed we’ll be yet, and the next match matters more right now.

Faker: I think we can perform well when the opportunity comes, so for now we’ll keep pushing for the LCK title.

Your opponents pulled out a Rammus support—what was your take?

kkOma: Looking at our draft, it didn’t seem that threatening, so we didn’t get rattled. You almost never see Rammus support, but unless you’re getting heavily out-laned, it’s not really scary, so we didn’t mind it.

Any final words?

kkOma: I’m truly grateful to the fans who always support us. We’ll do our best.

Faker: Thank you for cheering today. We’ll keep showing improvement for the rest of the split.
